InterviewPracticeAI 1.5: Prep That Follows Your Actual Interview
Our biggest update yet. Scoring that rewards genuine improvement, a countdown that paces your prep to the day of your interview, and a cleaner, faster experience on your phone.

Most interview-practice tools treat every session the same, whether your interview is tomorrow or two months away. But real interview prep is not a habit you keep forever — it is an intense sprint in the days before a specific interview. This update rebuilds the whole experience around that reality. Here is what is new.
Scoring that rewards real improvement
The point of practising is to get better — so your score has to move when your answer genuinely does. We rebuilt how answers are scored: instead of one overall guess, the AI now rates four things separately (does it answer the question, is it specific, is it well-structured, does it show a result) and adds them up. This mirrors the way AI interview tools actually assess candidates. The effect is a score that actually discriminates. A vague answer and a strong one no longer land on the same number, and when you retry a question and truly improve it, the score climbs to prove it.
We also raised the bar at the top: a score above 90 now means a near-perfect, interview-ready answer — so a high score means something you can trust walking into the room.
A countdown that paces your prep
You can now tell us where you are with each role — interview booked, waiting to hear back, or just practising — and add the date. Your dashboard turns into a countdown, and your prep gets paced to the day. Instead of open-ended practice, you see exactly how long you have and what to focus on next.

If your interview is a week away, we will nudge you at the right moments — a prep plan when you book it, a focused reminder in the final stretch, and a check-in afterwards. Not spam; the right message at the right point in your run-up.
Faster, cleaner, especially on your phone
Most people practise on their phone, so we rebuilt the mobile experience around one question at a time and one clear next step. The dashboard now leads with what to do right now instead of a wall of cards, the answer screen defaults to typing so you are never blocked by a microphone prompt, and the whole flow from question to feedback is quicker to move through.
Try it
The free tryout still needs no account — one real question, real scoring, real feedback. If you have an interview coming up, that is the fastest way to feel the difference this update makes. You can also browse example questions and answers for your role to see what to expect.
