Privacy policy

1. Who we are

Interview Practice AI is run by Gallagher Digital, a sole trader business registered in France. We are responsible for the personal data described here.

2. Information we collect

• Account data: your email address, and your name if you give it or sign in with Google.
• Interview data: the jobs you add (job title, employer, interview date, the job advert), your CV (pasted text or an uploaded file), the questions written for you, your typed or spoken answers, your scores and feedback, your mock interviews, and how your interview went if you tell us.
• Voice data: when you answer out loud, your recording is sent to Groq to be turned into text. We keep the text, not the recording.
• Free tryout and sign-up data: your IP address, used to limit free tryouts and sign-ups and deleted within two days, and a bot check by Cloudflare Turnstile. If you don't save a free tryout to an account, its text is deleted after about a month.
• Payment data: the passes you buy and their payment records. Card details are handled by Stripe; we never see them.
• Usage data: pages visited, features used, timestamps, browser and device type.

3. How we use your information

• To provide the service: write questions for your interview from the job advert and your CV, mark your answers and run your mock interviews.
• To read questions aloud when you ask, and to build your daily plan.
• To manage your account, your pass and your payments.
• To send account emails and, unless you turn them off, reminders about your interview preparation.
• To prevent abuse and keep the service secure, including the limits on free use.
• To understand how the service is used and improve it.

4. AI and voice processing

Your answers, your job details and your CV are sent to Anthropic's AI models to write questions and mark answers. Spoken answers are transcribed by Groq, and questions are read aloud by Speechify. We do not use your personal data to train AI models. See Anthropic's privacy policy and Groq's privacy policy.

5. Data storage and security

Your data is stored by Supabase on servers in the United States, with encryption and row-level security so only you can access your data. When your data leaves the UK or the EU, our providers protect it under their standard data protection agreements.

6. Data retention and account deletion

We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account from Account:

• Your account is deleted after 10 days. Log in before then to cancel.
• After that, your account and all its data (profile, interviews, answers, reports and uploaded files) are permanently deleted.
• Payment records may be kept for as long as the law requires for accounting.

Anonymised, aggregated usage statistics may be kept to improve the service.

7. Third-party services

• Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage.
• Vercel: website hosting, and counting visits without cookies (Vercel Web Analytics).
• Anthropic: AI questions and marking.
• Groq: speech-to-text.
• Speechify: text-to-speech.
• Stripe: payments.
• Resend: emails.
• Google: sign-in with Google, and Google Analytics if you accept analytics cookies.
• Cloudflare: the free tryout's bot check.

We do not sell your personal data.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in. Google Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner. We also count visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and keeps only anonymous totals: the page, the site you came from, your country, and your browser and device type. It tells visits apart with a code made from your request, deleted after 24 hours. You can clear cookies in your browser at any time.

9. Emails

• Account emails: confirming your email, resetting your password and pass receipts.
• Reminders and notes: about your interview preparation. Every one has a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can turn them off in Account.

10. Your rights

• Access and download your data from Account.
• Correct inaccurate information.
• Delete your account and its data.
• Turn off reminder emails.
• Complain to a data protection authority: the CNIL in France, or the ICO in the UK.
