Free interview practice
Enter your job and answer your first question out loud or in writing. See your score, what landed and the one thing to fix. No account.
What is free
Your first question is free, with no account and no card. A free account adds a personalised question, made from the job advert and your CV, with feedback and a second try, and a free mock interview with its full report.
For more practice, you pay once for a pass. There is nothing to cancel.
How the free question works
It takes a few minutes, from the job title to your marked answer.
- Type your job. Add the employer and the advert if you have them.
- Get a question a panel for that job would ask.
- Answer out loud, for up to three minutes, or type your answer.
- See your answer marked: what landed, the one thing to fix first, and your score.
Any job
Common jobs have questions ready, in the NHS, care, education, customer service and admin, business and tech, and public services. Each job's page shows its questions, what each is testing and strong answers to compare with yours.
For any other job, a question is written from the job title, the employer and the advert if you add them. It is never a stock question such as "Tell me about yourself": it is about something the job involves.
What the marking looks for
The free question is marked the same way as every answer in the app, on four things: does it answer the question, does it give evidence, is it easy to follow, and does it end with a result.
You see the parts of your answer that landed, the one thing to fix first and your score out of 100. The score is a guide to help you improve, not a prediction of the panel's decision.
What a free account adds
Sign up when you want to keep going. A free account adds:
- Your first answer and its marking, saved.
- Personalised questions made from the job advert and your CV, including some about your own experience.
- A mock interview with an AI interviewer that follows up on what you said.
- A preview of the CV check, which compares your CV with what the job asks for.
- A plan to the day of your interview, once you add the date.
When you want more
A pass adds more practice: the Interview Week Pass for an interview in the next 7 days, the Interview Pass for one coming up, and the Job Search Pass for several. You pay once, the price is shown in your currency, and there is nothing to cancel.
Start with the free question and decide once you have seen your answer marked.
Free practice, not a trial
Nothing here is a trial that turns into a payment. The free question needs no account, and what a free account includes stays free, within the daily limits on the Pricing page.
You only pay if you choose a pass, and a pass is paid once. Nobody asks for a card until then.
How to get the most from free practice
A few habits make a single practice question worth much more:
- Answer out loud, even if you plan to type later. It shows how long your answer really is.
- Use a real example, from work, study, volunteering or home, and end with what happened.
- Fix one thing at a time. The note under your answer shows what to fix first.
- Pick the question you dread rather than the one you already know. That is where practice pays.
Your answers and your data
Recordings are turned into text to mark your answer. With an account, you can download or delete your data at any time.
Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. Your first question is free, with no account. A free account adds a personalised question with feedback, a mock interview and a CV check preview. For more practice, you pay once for a pass.
Do I need to give my email?
Not for the first question. You only need an account to save your score and to practise more.
Do I have to record my voice?
No. You can type every answer instead.
Do I need a card to start?
No. Neither the first question nor a free account asks for a card.
Is there a subscription?
No. A pass is paid once and lasts a set number of days. There is nothing to cancel.
Does it work outside the UK?
Yes. It works for any job, in English, wherever you are. The few job pages about UK rules, such as NHS pay bands, say so.
Which jobs can I practise for?
Any job. Type your job title: common jobs have questions ready, and any other job gets a question written for it.
